The MSU Billings team of reference librarians specializes in information science and diverse subject areas, and provides information, instruction, and guidance on retrieving all types of information. We help with the use of all library resources and technology, while promoting information literacy and enabling lifelong learning. We serve the MSU Billings students, faculty and staff, the Billings community, the citizens of Montana, and others. Visit us at the Reference Desk on the second floor of the library, or contact us at 406-657-1662. Members of the Reference Team are also available by appointment.
The Library collaborates with faculty and provides a wide range of instructional services to help improve students' research and information skills. We offer instruction sessions to help students learn to use library resources. Sessions introduce students to library databases, library research, source evaluation, as well as in-depth instruction for advanced users.
