Research Tools
The MSU Billings librarians have carefully chosen these
sites to help faculty and students get started with
research for projects, papers, and other scholarly
endeavors.
The
Library's catalog leads to records for all materials
housed in the Library proper, as well as electronic
links for eBrary books, NetLibrary books, and government
documents online.
The Get Books link
includes the
MSU Billings Library Catalog, as well as sources
such as WorldCat, which searches 50,000 libraries
worldwide, and Project Gutenberg, a collection of free
electronic books.
Get Articles lets you
choose one of several different ways to search all the
Library's databases.
How Do I... includes
helpful 1- to 2-page handout formatted sheets with
how-to guides on using APA, MLA, and other style
formats, as well as short guidelines on evaluating
websites, the difference between magazines and journals,
and more.
Good Free
Websites are just that - a compilation of
non-subscription websites chosen by the MSUB librarians
as informative and useful sites with authoritative
content.
Use the
Full-Text Finder to find out if the library has
access to full-text articles (electronic or in the
library) in a particular journal, magazine, or
newspaper.
Favorite Full-Text Databases leads to a list of
databases most often used by students and faculty at
MSUB.
To browse a list of all the Library's subscription
databases, use the
A to Z
Database List. |
