Kids on Campus

Policies

Every child participating in a Kids on Campus at MSUB event must be signed-in and signed-out every day of the camp by a responsible adult with a photo ID. NO EXCEPTIONS.  A parental release form is mandatory for each kid.  Release forms must be signed by parents or legal guardian BEFORE your kid can participate in any camp.

ABSOLUTELY no electronic games or phones are allowed in Kids camps.  No iPads, iPods, PSP’s, Zunes, Gameboys or Cell Phones unless otherwise specified in the camp description.

Kids participating in camps will be expected to possess a level of maturity and self-control conducive to the camp environment and are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior throughout the camp.  Inappropriate behavior or discipline problems will result in immediate from the program and no refund will be given.  Furthermore, if a kid carries a weapon or leaves during camp without permission from the instructor, the student will be immediately dismissed without a refund.

Kids should wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty.  Close toed shoes are highly recommended to protect their feet from the rigors of camp activities.  If your camp is outdoors, please wear sun-block.  Kids on Campus t-shirts are always the best thing to wear to camp!

iTHINK camps are for kids who are above average in the classroom and want a fun, intellectual challenge that begins in the summer and may continue into the school year through after school programs.  iTHINK camps will offer a one-of-a-kind opportunity to be immersed in an environment that encourages advanced thinking, creative problem solving, and social interaction.   To be admitted to an iTHINK program students will be required to demonstrate academic abilities by submitting a copy of their report card or transcript evidencing a 3.0 GPA or equivalent, and a letter of recommendation from their school. Exceptions to this rule may be made on a case-by-case basis and may require a writing sample.

A temporary parking permit will be enclosed in your child’s camp confirmation to allow you to drop-off and pick-up your kids from Kids on Campus camps on the university campus and City College without having to purchase a parking pass.  Please be sure to place that permit on your dashboard and comply with all signage when you park on campus to avoid a citation.  DO NOT park in reserved parking areas.  Only people with handicapped parking permits may park in handicapped parking.
