Policies and More Information – Please Read

Why choose a Kids on Campus summer camp for your child?

Here are just a few reasons:

  • Camps take place on MSUB main campus, MSUB Extended Campus (downtown), or at
City College, so kids experience what it’s like to be on a college campus.

  • Each camp is geared toward specific ages that are educationally relevant. Kids on Campus
programs are academics-based, but FUN, so your children continue learning throughout the
summer. Shhh…don’t worry, we won’t tell them they’re learning!

  • Most importantly, all of our summer camps are taught by K-12 educators or MSUB faculty members. They are professional educators who are experts in their fields.

Unless otherwise specified, the following rules apply to all Kids on Campus events.

Sign In and Check Out

Every child under the age of 18 participating in the MSUB summer camp program must be signed-in and signed-out every day of the camp by a responsible adult with a photo ID. If you would like your child to walk or ride their bike to and from camp or be picked up by another person, parents must fill out and sign a waiver.

Paperwork and Release Form

You will receive a packet of information from MSUB Extended Campus for each camp you register your child for. A parental release form is mandatory for each student per camp registered for and must be filled out and signed by parents or a legal guardian BEFORE your child can participate in any camp. Kids participating in camps will be expected to possess a level of maturity and self-control conducive to the camp environment and are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior throughout the camp.

Discipline Problems

Inappropriate behavior or discipline problems will result in immediate dismissal from the program and no refund will be given. Furthermore, if a student carries a weapon or leaves during class time without permission from the instructor, the student will be immediately dismissed without a refund.

What to Wear & Bring to Camp

Kids should wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty. Close-toed shoes are highly recommended to protect their feet from the rigors of camp activities and no flip-flops. If your camp is outdoors, please wear sun-block and a hat. Kids on Campus t-shirts are always the best thing to wear to camp!

A temporary parking permit will be enclosed in your child’s camp confirmation to allow you to drop-off and pick-up your kids from Kids on Campus camps on the main campus and City College without having to purchase a parking pass. Please be sure to place the permit on you dashboard, park in Student Parking only, and comply with all signage when you park on campus to avoid a citation. Do not park in reserved or handicapped parking.

Scholarship Fund

MSUB Extended Campus is working on a Scholarship Program for future summer camp years. If you are interested in donating to this fund, please email l.gittingscarlson@msubillings.edu or call (406) 896-5890.

Cancellations, Transfers, and Refunds

In the event that a summer camp does not meet the minimum number of campers, it will be cancelled and parents will be called at least 5 (five) days prior to the start of the camp. In the event a camp is cancelled, a full refund will be given or the fee can be transferred to pay for a different camp. We purchase supplies and hire staff according to enrollment, so if you must cancel your child’s registration, you will receive a full refund if it is done 5 (five) business days prior to the starting date of a summer camp. After this date there will be no refunds.

Electronic Devices

Absolutely no electronic games or phones are allowed. No iPods, PSP’s, Zunes, Gameboys or other hand-held devices are allowed unless otherwise specified in the camp description.
