Program Overview
Jilin University is the largest university in China. Founded in 2000 by the merger of six universities, it has over sixty-three thousand students and over 800 international students. Jilin is committed to internationalizing their campus and welcomes students from all over the world. The university has established worldwide exchange programs with more than 130 universities in more than 40 countries. They boast a wide variety of majors including sciences, technology, business, social science, and the humanities.

Eligibility
Open to students who have attended one full academic year at MSU Billings with a 2.75 cumulative GPA.
Academic Credit
Credit will be awarded at MSU Billings for all courses taken and passed at Jilin University. As part of the application process the student will confer with their academic advisor to determine how their credits at Jilin will apply to their degree course requirements at MSU Billings.
Location
The city of Changchun, which is located in Jilin province, is a modern city located northeast of Beijing. Changchun is a thriving metropolis of 3 million people and has comparable weather to Montana, with four distinct seasons. It is the hub of transportation for Northeast China and has many shopping centers, supermarkets, and a variety of restaurants with a blend of Oriental and Western cuisine. It has a rich history and culture, and is the location of imperial palace of the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty.
Financial Aid & Scholarships
Financial aid may be used for studying abroad at Jilin University. Additional costs for studying in China (e.g. airfare) may be used in calculating a student’s financial aid package. Students need to make an appointment with the Financial Aid Office in McMullen 103 (E-mail: finaid@msubillings.edu; Phone: 657-2188). Students should fill out the FAFSA form and plan to visit the Financial Aid office early to discuss eligibility (at least one semester in advance).
