Bath Spa University was founded in 1852, after the Great Exhibition. It is one of the leading art schools in England. Some of the artists to have studied and taught at the university include Walter Sickert and Howard Hodgkin. Bath Spa University strives to provide students with an understanding of local, regional, and global networks and provide them with all three. The university stresses the importance of understanding the world in which the students will be working. Bath Spa takes pride in treating students individuals and not just numbers.
