Seinäjoki is one of the fastest growing urban centers in Finland. The capital of the Southern Ostrobothnia province, the city is a thriving business and cultural centre. Seinäjoki offers all the advantages of a city as well as a friendly community atmosphere and comfortable living.
Seinäjoki, whose current population is 58,000, is known for the architecture of Alvar Aalto, the Tangomarkkinat Tango Festival, the Provinssi-rock festival and a wide variety of sports activities. The city is, in fact, one of Finland’s fastest growing urban areas, thanks partly to its favorable attitude towards entrepreneurship.
Gateway to International Business (Exchange Program)
In the Gateway Programme one is offered a range of core international business studies which one can complement with one of the optional study streams: Global, Nordic, Baltic & Russian or E-Business. In addition, one can select Language & Culture studies.
- It is a MSUB exchange program; therefore, tuition is paid to MSUB
- Fall Semester: beginning of September - mid December
- Spring Semester: beginning of January - late May
- 60+ ECTS available in English
- There is an optional study seminar abroad in Sweden, Russia or Estonia in which additional costs apply.
Property Ltd Marttilan kortteeri, is owned by the City of Seinäjoki. The apartments are conveniently located near the schools and/or downtown. All amenities and services are within walking distance. Laundry facilities are fee based.

- Shared ap/3 rooms: : 222-241 €/month/person
- + furniture fee 10-15 €/month/person
- 1 room+kitchen: 328-427 €/month
Students must supply own cookware, cutlery, & cleaning supplies (some apartments have from previous students leaving behind or from current flatmates). The Internet is 15-47 Euros/month depending on the speed one chooses.
Thrid-country nationals entering Finland for the purposes of studies in an educational institution in Finland are required to have health insurance under the Aliens Act (301/2004). Therefore, all MSUB students must have sufficient health Insurance prior to leaving the USA. This includes travel, accidental death & tragic accident insurance as well as, normal medical coverage.
