DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of the Academic Support Center is to provide services that
support the academic and first-year success of students at Montana State
University Billings, including the College of Technology.
The Director of the Academic Support Center and First Year Experience
(FYE) is responsible for supervising the delivery of all developmental
level and FYE courses at Montana State University Billings, coordinating
the delivery of tutorial services and other programs offered through the
Learning Labs located in the Academic Support Centers on the Senior
Campus, at the College of Technology and online.
The Director supervises all staff in the Academic Support Centers
and assists with retention initiatives.
The Director will oversee all First Year Experience courses and
services while directly supervising the Student Success Coordinator.
The Director of the Academic Support Center and FYE reports
directly to the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs with
cross-collaboration responsibilities involving Academic Affairs.
The position requires a willingness to work a variable schedule
as potential assignments may include daytime, evenings or weekends.
