DESCRIPTION:
Facilities Services is responsible for repairs and maintenance of all
buildings, landscape and grounds, building utilities, custodial
services, as well as all planning, design and construction for a
University of 1.5 million sq-ft of buildings on 115 acres.
The Assistant Director is responsible for the efficient management of
human, fiscal and physical resources to provide facilities and
infrastructure which support the mission of the University.
This position manages and supervises skilled employees, including
compliance with labor contracts, directing work unit activities,
performing a full range of personnel supervisory tasks, and making
organizational and operational changes necessary to meet departmental
goals. In addition, this
position is specifically tasked with providing multi-discipline
professional services, utility operations and budget administration,
technical maintenance and operations services to campus personnel and
facilities.

MSUB to a wide variety of constituents such as the Office of the
Commissioner of Higher Education, legislators, affiliated campus
administrators, state and local agencies, etc.
