Healthcare is the largest and fastest-growing industry in the United States. According to the US Bureau of Labor and Statistics, 19% of alll new wage and salary jobs created between 2004 and 2014 will be in healthcare.

Learners can enter the healthcare field with education at various levels. Some careers in the healthcare field require four years of education or more. Many others require as little as a one-year certificate or a two-year associate degree.
