Robbie Mann, an alumnus of Montana State University of Billings and  Master of Fine Arts graduate from University of Idaho, presents a collection of his recently completed drawings and paintings in his exhibition, Slightly Serious. The exhibition is on view in the Project Galleries located on the first floor of the Liberal Arts Building from January 13th through March 25th.

Mann explores the human condition through his drawings, paintings, and installation work. Influenced by the work of the German Expressionists, the Hairy Who, Peter Saul, and Nicole Eisenmen, the artist creates imaginary characters of cartoonish, slightly grotesque forms in saturated colors. Exploring contemporary experience with sardonic humor, Mann offers a cavalcade of figurative works inspired by his observations of the impacts that mass media messaging have on our inner states.
