In one convenient day, you can take the COMPASS placement test in the morning, have lunch on campus, and register for classes in the afternoon. Staff will be available to assist you with everything you need to get ready for fall classes. Sessions are available at both City College and the University campus.

All freshmen students must take the COMPASS placement test. Results of this test are used to advise students into the most appropriate writing, mathematics, and reading courses. This test is self-paced. Take a sample test online.
