What do you love about Montana?
Montana has always been my home. I love how the entire state feels so connected—many people say that it’s one big small town with long streets. It seems like you can go just about anywhere and somehow find a connection with someone you’ve never even met. We have a deep, rich history and amazing beauty here in Big Sky Country that captivates me as well.
What is your favorite free time activity?
I spend a lot of my free time behind a camera, especially at Yellowjacket home games. I love capturing moments for our student athletes and helping them remember the time they spend here as student athletes. I also do portrait photography and some landscape shots as well! This year, I’ve taken up filmography, and I look forward to utilizing it at on-campus events and to capturing life around Billings.
Favorite place to hang out in Billings?
I love being downtown, especially in the summers. There is always something going on, and we have amazing places to grab a bite to eat! I also love the rooftop patio at the 406 Kitchen by campus because of its awesome view of downtown or spending an evening at Dehler Park.
What do you love most about MSU Billings?
I love the opportunities that MSUB provides. Students get to be involved across campus throughout their time here. I think we have an amazing community as well—it’s rare that I will walk across campus and not bump into someone I know. It feels almost like it is a small town in the heart of Billings. As an eastern Montana kid, that is something I appreciated as a student and continue to love while working here.
