Admission Requirements for International Students

International students must request and complete the International Application for Admission, which includes a supplement and the admission requirements. The International Application for Admission is available on the web (see Application Checklist at right) or from the Office of Admissions and Records at (406) 657-2158.

Undergraduate: Fall Semester: June 15

International Student Application Check List

1. APPLICATION FEE
Undergraduate - US $30
Graduate - US $40
This may be paid by check or money order or international bank draft made out to "MSU Billings." Your application will not be considered without this application fee.

3. FINANCIAL STATEMENT FORM
This is not an application for financial assistance. The Immigration and Naturalization Service requires an international student to show that funds are available for the first year of study and that adequate funding will also be available for subsequent years.
4. OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT(S): All of your transcripts must be sent to the MSU Billings Office of International Studies. For your credits to count, they must come from an accredited institution. Official transcripts should be sent in a signed, sealed envelope from the institution. Please ask your school registrar to include a note with your transcripts noting whether your institution(s) is accredited. All transcripts must be in English.

If you have any post-secondary level course(s) completed outside of the U.S. or in non-English-speaking Canada to transfer to Montana State University-Billings, we need a course-by-course evaluation completed by one of the three services highlighted below:
