University New Student Orientation

NOTE for New College of Technology Students: Get New COT Students Registration Day Form and Details

All new students are required to attend one of our New Student Orientation Sessions. During Orientation, you will have the opportunity to:

• Take placement tests for English and Math (Compass)

• Meet with an academic advisor to register for classes and discuss your major program worksheet

• Tour the campus

• Meet with other new students

• Meet our faculty and staff

• Discover opportunities to get involved on campus

We offer a variety of dates to make attending New Student Orientation convenient for you! Choose from the highlighted dates in the calendar to the right. Each session will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude by 5:00 p.m.

Select your top three choices for a date that works best for you. You will be sent a written confirmation about the Orientation session and the date you have been assigned to attend.

Parents, family members or guests are welcome to attend the session with your student. Please indicate on the registration form if a family member will be attending with you.

*If you need Housing accommodations in the residence halls while attending Orientation, please contact the Housing Office at 406-657-2333 prior to your scheduled orientation. There is no additional charge for the one/two night stay in the residence halls.
