 I recently received the John Weinschrott Scholarship for Upperclassmen. First and foremost I would like to express my deep appreciation for your generosity. This scholarship will not only assist me financially, but is a reminder for myself that there are possibilities. I am the first in my family to go to college and unfortunately do not have the financial means. Throughout high school I worked almost fifty hours a week while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
By awarding me the John Weinschrott Scholarship for Upperclassmen, you have lightened my financial burden which allows me to focus more on the most important aspect of school – learning. Your generosity has inspired me to help others and give back to the community. I hope one day I will be able to help students achieve their goals just as you have helped me.
