Community Events & Festivals
MSU Billings Extended Campus works with the Downtown Billings Association (DBA), nonprofit organizations, and businesses to help bring excitement and enthusiasm to downtown through various family-friendly community events and festivals.
The Kid Zone: MSUB Extended Campus staff and volunteers, in partnership with the Center for Children and Families and the Girl Scouts, helped children create pinwheels, bracelets, and painted many faces. Over 1,200 kids came to the Kid Zone in 2013! Let’s see if we can make that over 1,500 in 2014. Come join us!
Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 14, 2014 for the next Strawberry Festival!
The Kid Zone: Over 800 pumpkins were picked and decorated by children of all ages. Afterwards they made paper pumpkins, made their own painting with fall apples and gourds from the Good Earth Market, had the opportunity to get their face painted, and learned all about healthy eating and fun activities from the YMCA. Thank you Center for Children and Families and Valley Federal Credit Union!
Be sure to join the second Saturday in October (October 11, 2014) for the next Harvest Fest!
Downtown Trick or Treating
Hundreds of Ghosts, Princesses, Zombies, and Superheroes trick-or-treated at MSUB as part of Downtown Trick or Treat 2013. Treats were handed out from Noon until 5 pm. Want your ghost or goblin to be part of this fun event next year? Just stop by the DBA to pick up a map of participating businesses here and we’ll see you next year!
Join us for the 22nd Annual Christmas Stroll on Friday, December 6th in Downtown Billings from 6-9 pm. This year’s theme is “A Christmas Story”. Be sure to put MSUB down as a place to stop, warm up, and do a fun craft with the family.
