Fall 2009 Schedule

9/8/09–Parent Meeting and Summer Slideshow!

Parents and students are invited to learn about new events for the fall and watch all of our fun from the summer. 

Please call to sign-up! 

Time:  6:30-7:30pm
Place:  Please meet in the Academic Support Center Rm. 7 & 8

10/10/09—Testing 1 2 3

7th & 8th grades—Career   Testing.  Find out what your ideal career will be based on your personality.  Plus, look at colleges that offer those careers.

9th grade– EXPLORE Test

This test will give you some valid career information and is a stepping stone for the ACT Test that you need to take to get into college.  It will provide some valuable feedback.

10th grade– PLAN Test

This test is a good indicator of how you will do on the ACT Test.  You must take the ACT Test to get into college.  Now is a good time to start preparing; plus, we pay for the test. 

11th grade- ACT Preparation

All juniors should take the ACT Test during their junior year.  This workshop will help get you prepared. 

Seniors-SCHOLARSHIP WORKSHOP

Seniors and parents are encouraged to attend.  This is such an important workshop.  You will have the opportunity to learn about many of the scholarships available and you. You will also build an academic resume for recommendation letters and put together a sample essay useable for many scholarships.

Place:  All grades please meet at the Academic Support Center

Please Note:  Students that are testing need to arrive 15 minutes early.  Late students will not be eligible to test. 

10/15/09 - Northwest Community College Tour

All grades invited to attend! You must call to sign-up 657-2116

Time:  8am Prompt Departure
Place:  Meet at the Cisel Hall Parking lot
Return: 5:00pm

10/16/09 - Montana State University College Tour

High school students are  invited to attend.  We will tour the campus, look at various  programs, and get information on activities and financial aid.  Lunch will be provided.  You must call Chris to sign-up!  (657-2116)

Time:  7:30am Prompt Departure
Place:  Meet at the Cisel Hall Parking lot
Return:  5:00pm

11/7/09– Moss Mansion Christmas Tree Decorations

All Grades are invited to come make Christmas decorations for our annual Moss Mansion Christmas Tree service project.   If you are artsy or just want to have some holiday fun, you should come.

Time:  9am-12pm
Place:  Please meet at Cisel Hall (Activity to be held in the Beartooth Rm. in the SUB)

Family Service Volunteer Day!

This day will  be announced but will take place on a Saturday.  TOYS FOR TOTS!  All grades are invited to come help put together bags of Christmas presents for families in need.

Extra Community Service Projects

 

11/10/09– 4pm

Actual Moss Mansion Tree Decorating.  Only students who helped make  decorations should sign-up to attend!  Please Call Chris!  (657-2116)

The Montana University System requires an
ACT score of at least 22 or
SAT score of 1540 or
a 2.5 high school grade point average or
ranking in the top half of the school’s graduating class.
