2008 Schedule of Events

1/12/08 MSU-Billings College Tour

All  grades, come tour the  MSU-B campus and see what the college has to offer from 9-10am.

7th-11th grades will work on scholarships for college after the tour.  Yes, there are scholarships you can start applying for!

12th grades—Financial Aid

Seniors and Parents, now is the time to learn how to fill out the FAFSA and get your money for college.  You don’t want to miss this important workshop.

2/9/08- Education Careers Day!

Are you interested in becoming a teacher, principal, superintendent or an administrator?  If you are, this fun interactive workshop will show you what these positions entail that you  normally don’t see at school.  You will also have the opportunity to meet some people in these positions and ask them questions. Please call the office to sign-up (657-2116)

3/15/08- Communications Careers Day!

If you are curious about a career as a news anchor, a writer, or in public relations, you will want to check out this workshop.  You will have the opportunity meet some people in these careers and experience what they do in their jobs first hand.

3/29/08– ACT Prep

11th & 12th grades who haven’t taken the ACT yet, should attend this workshop. Any high school students interested may also attend. We will go over sample problems, answer any questions, and tell you what you need to know concerning the ACT.

4/12/08– Annual Ditch Clean-up!

It’s that time of year again to volunteer in your community. Money from the ditch clean-up will go to help students with various endeavors. If you are currently a senior and are planning on taking an early college class, the money could help with those college expenses.

Time: 8am-until done
Place: Please meet at Cisel Hall/MSU-B

Refreshments and food will be provided following the clean-up! You must call the office to sign-up so we can have a count for food.  657-2116

Note:  If the weather is lousy, Saturday, April 26th will be our alternate date. 

5/15/08-Senior Reception

Seniors, we want to celebrate your graduation.  Parents are invited to attend. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. The ETS scholarship will also be announced at this time.

5/17/08-Show & Tell

What are you passionate about?  Do you have a talent or a hobby that you’d like to share with other students?  Whether  it’s an instrument that you play, a dance routine you’ve learned, art work that you’ve created, a collection  you’ve spent years accumulating, or your love of drag racing—tell us about it.
