Note:  If you sign-up for an activity and are unable to attend, please contact the office as soon as possible.  We always have a waiting list of other students who will fill the spot. 

Summer Dates:

Team Building/Coaching Week        Days:  June 15th-June 19th      Place:  Meet at Cisel Hall Parking Lot                                     

 -Monday, June 15th– Bring a Friend Social, BBQ, and Art Day                                                                                                                  Bring a friend who isn’t in ETS and you think might want to join.  We will have a BBQ, tell them about ETS and participate in a fun Art project.        
Time:  12-2pm                          Cap:  50 students

-Tuesday, June 16th– Team Building and Ropes Course                                                                                                                         

On our second day, we will get to know each other and work together to accomplish tasks.  Come enjoy some fun interactive games and challenges.                                                                                                                                                                                                     Time:  9am-Noon                           Cap:  25 students    

-Wednesday, June 17th-MSU-B and City College Tours                                                                                                                             Come get familiar with your local campuses.  More specifically we will learn about sports and health careers offered on these campuses.    Time:  9am-Noon                            Cap:  30 students

-Thursday,  June 18th– Coaching Careers                                                                                                                                                   

Are you interested in becoming a coach in the future?  It could be middle school, high school, college, professional, etc.  Come learn what it takes to do it.                                                                                                                                                                                                 Time:  9am-Noon                  Cap:  20 students

-Friday, June 19th–Billings Community Daycare Center                                                                                                                        

We will wrap the week up with a fun service opportunity.  We will be reading to, playing with, and working with many different ages of children.  If you enjoy young children, come volunteer your time.

 Wellness Week            Days:  June 23rd-June 26th        Place:  Meet at Cisel Hall Parking Lot

Tuesday, June 23rd– Yoga and Becoming Certified                                                                                                                                

We will participate in a yoga session, learn how to become a certified instructor and learn about owning your own business.  Please dress comfortably.                                                                                                                                                                                                    Time:  9am-11:30am            Cap:  25 students

-Wednesday, June 24th—Day of Wellness                                                                                                                                              

Come learn about Chiropractors, Massage Therapists, and other Wellness Careers.                                                                                        Time:  9:00am-12pm         Cap:  15 students  

 -Thursday, June 25th—Sheridan College Tour                                                                                                                                        

We are heading to Wyoming to tour Sheridan College.  They have many health and wellness programs on their campus.  Lunch will be provided on campus.  Please dress appropriately and bring a water bottle.                                                                                                   

Time:  8am-4pm        Cap:  30 students    

-Friday, June 26th—Salvation Army                                                                                                                                                          

This is a great service project.  We will  make sandwiches, cold lunches, and help clean.                                                                               Time:  9:00am-12pm         Cap:  30 students  

 Sports Media/Personal Training               Days: June 30th—July 2nd    Place:  Meet at Cisel Hall Parking Lot

 -Tuesday, June 30th– Social Media                                                                                                                                                         

Have you ever thought about becoming a sports announcer.  Television, radio and the web are great avenues to pursue if you like sports.        Time:  9am-Noon                              Cap:  20 students  

-Wednesday, July 1st—Health and Human Performance and Personal Training                                                                           

Come learn about these two college programs and MSU-B and get a student’s perspective and the education involved.  You will get some hands on experience in what these people actually do.                                                                                                                                 

Time:  9:00am-12pm         Cap:  20 students    

-Thursday, July 2nd—Zoo Montana Service Day                                                                                                                                  

Come help out at Zoo Montana.  Plus, get  an animal presentation from the education director.  Be prepared to work and provide some service!                                                                                                                                                                                                           

Note:  Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting wet or dirty.  Wear sunscreen and bug spray, and bring your water bottle!

 Athletic, Occupation and Respiratory Therapy Week         Days: July 7thth-July 10th      Place:  Meet at Cisel Hall Parking Lot

 -Tuesday, July 7th—Athletic Training                                                                                                                                                  

Come learn about the career of athletic training and what these people do in their day to day jobs.  We will be walking to Billing Clinic and taking a trip to the Sports Plex.  Please wear comfortable shoes.                                                                                                                   Time:  9am-Noon                                                Cap:  20 students

-Wednesday, July 8th—Occupational and Respiratory Therapy                                                                                                       

What do Occupational and Respiratory Therapists do?  Don’t miss out on your chance to learn about these two careers.  We will be walking dow to Billings Clinic to visit their CVU therapy room  and go through some exercises that these people use with their patients.                Time:  9am-Noon                              Cap:  12 students                                                                                                                               

-Thursday, July 9th—Rocky Mountain College Tour and Health Programs Overview                                                                            We will be walking to Rocky to learn all about the campus.  We will also have the opportunity to learn about the sports and health majors that they offer.                                                                                                                                                                                              

Time:  9am-Noon                                                Cap:  25 students                                                                                                           Note:  Please wear your walking shoes and bring a water bottle.  We will leave at 9am sharp! 

-Friday, July 10th-Education Conservation Center                                                                                                                                       This will be another great service opportunity outdoors.  We will be planting, pulling weeds, and sprucing up the area.                               Time:  9:00am-Noon                                                     Cap:  30 students                                                                                                  Note:  Please wear clothing that you do not mind getting dirty and bring a water bottle

 Orthopedics and Physical Therapy Week                    Days: July 14th-July 17th          Place:  Meet at Cisel Hall Parking Lot

 -Tuesday, July 14th—Orthopedics, Surgery, Imaging and Radiology                                                                                                

There are so many careers in the sports medicine field that you may not know about.  Come check out some of these down at the Billings Clinic.  Again, we will be walking so wear those tennis shoes.                                                                                                                       Time:  9am-Noon                                                Cap:  20 students

-Wednesday, July 15th—Surgery Center and Physical Therapy                                                                                                                  

If someone gets injured in a sport, they probably will need the services of a physical therapist.  That person may even need surgery.  We will be at the hospital looking into these careers.  Don’t miss this opportunity!                                                                                                        Time:  9am-Noon                                                Cap:  12 students                                                                                                                                                       

-Thursday, July 16th—Northwest College Tour                                                                                                                                       

We will head to Powell, Wyoming to look at this great two-year campus.  Northwest will provide us some information on some of their unique health programs along with some great hands on activities.                                                                                    

Time:  8am-5pm                                                 Cap:  40 students                                                                                                           

Note:  We will depart promptly at 8am.  Please bring extra money if you would like to buy souvenirs or extra snacks.  

-Friday, July 17th—St. John’s Lutheran Home—BINGO                                                                                                                       Come play BINGO with the residents at St. John’s.  This is always a favorite with the students!                                                                

Time:  9:15am-11:45am                          Cap:  30 students

 Nutrition and Health Week              Days: July 21st-July 24th           Place:  Please See Each Date for the Meeting Location

 -Tuesday, July 21st– Nutrition and Dietetics                                                                                                                                        

Come learn about possible careers counseling people about nutrition and diet.  You will also get to participate in some fun hands on activities.    Time:  9am-Noon                                                     Cap:  20 students

-Wednesday, July 22nd—Golf at Pryor Creek                                                                                                                                                 Come brush up on your golf swing or learn how to swing a club.  This will be a fun activity that is a life long sport.                                           Time:  9am-Noon                                                    Cap:  20 students

-Thursday, July 23rd—  MSU-Bozeman College Tour and the Museum of the Rockies.                                                                   

We are heading to Bozeman to check out the campus and look at their Nutrition and Health programs.  After, we will head to the museum for an interactive exhibit tour and a planetarium show.  Lunch will be provided.                                                                                               Time:  7:30am-5:30pm                                              Cap:  40 students                                                                                                      Note:  We will depart promptly at 7:30am.  Please bring money for souvenirs, if you desire. 

-Friday, July 24th—Bowling Fun Day                                                                                                                                                

Another life long sport!  We will meet at Sunset Bowl.  Students must have participated in at least two other workshops to attend this one.  Pizza and pop provided.                                                                                                                                                                                 Time:  11am-1pm                                            Cap:  30  students

 **REMEMBER: ALL students are welcome to these fundraisers.  However, if you are taking a College Connections class Summer 2015, please plan on attending.
