Seniors - College Fair:  Seniors may sign-up for this event at their high school.  You will be excused during certain periods in the morning to go gather information from various colleges throughout the United States.  This is a really important event to attend at the start of your senior year.  You will also be registered for a scholarship drawing by signing up.  Wait for announcements at your school to sign-up or see your counseling office for more information.  UB/ETS advisors will be at the event to help answer questions and make sure you are getting all the applications and info necessary.

Seniors & Parents - College Planning, Senior Timeline, and Important Updates Meeting:  This meeting will   provide a college timeline, checklist, and information on important changes for this year’s senior class.  There are many important college dates and deadlines during the senior year.  You will also hear about some extra UB/ETS scholarship opportunities.  This is an invaluable workshop that you do not want to miss.

Sophomores, Juniors, & Seniors ONLYMontana State University Friday - We will head to Bozeman where you will have an opportunity to get a really in depth look at the campus. Students may pick sessions that they are interested in. These sessions might include meeting with faculty and current students, exploring academic opportunities, touring campus, checking out the dorms, and looking at financial aid and scholarships. This visit is especially important for Seniors and Juniors. Please call the office to sign-up by 10/4/16. Lunch will be provided. Please bring money for souvenirs or extra snacks.


Cap: 40 students
Note: We will depart promptly at 7:30am and return by 5:30pm. Don’t be late to board the bus!

Halloween Food Drive (All Grade Levels Welcome) - We are partnering up with MSU-Billings students to collect food for the Food Bank. We will be breaking up into groups and collecting donations from area houses. Please wear a Halloween costume if you’d like. We will have some fun refreshments in the SUB after collecting.


Note: If you participate in this workshop, you will not be able to participate in St. John’s Nursing Home event listed below.

St. John’s Nursing Home Volunteer Event (All Grade Levels Welcome)
Come hangout with the residents at St. John’s and help distribute candy to the trick-or-treaters; it is a wonderful community service!

Montana College Application Week-Seniors Only
10/31/16 thru 11/4/16


Throughout this week, high schools across the state will host events to assist students with the college application process. Each high school throughout Yellowstone County will participate in the Montana College Application Week effort, with the goal of ensuring that all members of the senior classes apply to at least one two-year or four-year college or university this fall. In most cases the application fee for these institutions will be waived during this time. Please listen for more information at your particular school or check with your UBETS advisor more information and your school's hosting date/s.

Seniors & Parents - College Goal Montana —Free Application for Federal Student Aid: Don’t miss this opportunity to get help completing your FAFSA. Make sure you bring all the following materials:

  • FAFSA ID - To obtain a ID, log on to fsaid.ed.gov
  • Correct Social Security numbers (students, parents, guardians)
  • 2015 Federal Tax Returns
  • W2s, tribal income, other aid information (TANF, child support, other benefits)
  • Additional Asset Information (money market funds, stocks, other investments)

UB/ETS Holiday Party - All grades are invited to come celebrate the holidays.  We will play games, have holiday snacks, and make holiday cards for the residents at St. John’s Nursing Home.  If you’d like to bring a new stuffed animal to donate to the residents as well, please do so.
