This project is a model to increase equity in the education of young women with disabilities, especially in regard to their successful transition to post secondary education or employment.  The model includes strategies in the areas shown by research to have a positive impact on employment and wage outcomes, which are career development, self esteem, and the family friend network.   Specific strategies include:

students from Laurel and Glendive at the Spring Conference

Connecting young women to mentors.

Partnering with community organizations.

Strengthening the family friend network

The project has developed resource materials useful for replication and provides links to related resources.  Please feel free to contact project staff with any questions or if you are interested in participating in the Equity Outreach Project.
