Desire2Learn - Disabling "the next-generation Java plug-in"

The steps on this page will help you work around an issue with the Desire2Learn Equation Editor, the newest version of Java, and Internet Explorer. What you'll be doing is disabling "the next-generation Java plug-in".

1. Bring up your computer's "Start Menu".

   

   Click on "Control Panel".

2. In the Control Panel, click on the "Java" icon.

   

3. Click on the Advanced Tab

   

4. Uncheck "the next-generation Java Plug-in" option
