American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education
The American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education is a national, voluntary association of colleges and universities with undergraduate or graduate programs that prepare professional educators.

American Federation of Teachers

The American Federation of Teachers represents one million teachers, school support staff, higher education faculty and staff, health care professionals, and state and municipal employees.

Consortium for Policy Research in Education
Created in 1985, the Consortium for Policy Research in Education (CPRE) unites researchers from five of the nation's leading research institutions -- the University of Pennsylvania, Harvard University, Stanford University, the University of Michigan, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison -- in an effort to improve elementary and secondary education through practical research.

ERIC

The ERIC database, the world's largest source of education information, contains more than one million abstracts of documents and journal articles on education research and practice. This web-based version of the ERIC Database provides access to abstracts which are also found in the printed medium.

Mountain Plains Regional Resource Center
The Mountain Plains Regional Resource Center is a project of the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education Programs that helps agencies develop quality programs and services for children with disabilities. The MPRRC is the technical assistance division of the Center for Persons with Disabilities at Utah State University.

National Commission on Teaching & America's Future

The National Commission on Teaching & America's Future was created to identify the implications on teaching of school reform; to examine steps to guarantee all children access to skilled, knowledgeable, and committed teachers; and to develop a comprehensive blueprint for recruiting, preparing, and supporting an exemplary teaching force.

National Staff Development Council

The National Staff Development Council (NSDC) is committed to ensuring success for all students through staff development and school improvement. Their goal is that all teachers in all schools experience high-quality professional learning as part of their daily work by 2007.

What Works Clearing House
The What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) collects, screens, and identifies studies of the effectiveness of educational interventions (programs, products, practices, and policies). They review the studies that have the strongest design, and report on the strengths and weaknesses of those studies against the WWC Evidence Standards so that you know what the best scientific evidence has to say.
