Region III CSPD is Proud to Announce the Region III 2011 Award Winners

Paraeducator of the Year Award

Name:     Linda Morgan

School:    Canyon Creek School

City:        Billings

Linda is dedicated to making a difference in student’s lives. She exhibits this passion by going the extra mile for each child she interacts with. She is kind, compassionate, firm, and loving. Many times I will go to Linda for answers in how to help students, because she knows them better than any other staff member. She is often innovative in helping students find academic success, and has patience and kindness for the toughest children.

-----Brent Lipp, Superintendent

Paraeducator/ Teacher Team of the Year

Names:    Gerry Buttman (Paraprofessional) & Julie Wilson (Teacher)

School:    Alkali Creek Elementary School

City:        Billings

Mrs. Wilson and Mrs. Buttman not only positively demonstrate respect, compassion, and kindness for one another and their students, but also teach them to do the same. This is evident in the way the students, with a disability or not, treat one another and their teachers on a daily basis. Positive attitudes, smiles, hugs, handshakes, and unconditional love are shared each day, and in turn the kids are eager to learn and absorb all they are taught.

-----Kristin and Bob Hammler: Parents
