CLEP Testing
Montana State University-Billings offers credit for successful
performance on selected General and Subject Examinations through
the College Level Examination Program (CLEP). Start with the
CLEP registration form available from LIB 100 and at College
of Technology.

Credit
Enrolled MSU Billings students will receive credit and a grade
of "P" for test scores meeting ACE standards. Students
must first submit official test results to Admissions &
Records and follow the procedure for Accelerated Course Work
in the General Bulletin.
Scores
Qualifying scores will be entered on the transcript with a
grade of "P" and the number of credits. No record
of unsuccessful CLEP testing will be entered on a transcript.
CLEP Study Guides
Study guides for CLEP examinations are available at the MSU Billings
Book Depot. Please
check this website for additional information regarding CLEP.
Test Dates/Times
Please inform the COT Test Administrators which exam you need
at least 1 week prior to the test date.
Testing Time Length
All exams are 90 minutes in length. Essays require an additional
90 minutes.
Pre-Register
Register in person at College of Technology Library/Testing
Center or call 247-3025
Test Day:
Pay the $35 testing fee to the cashier. Take the receipt and
completed CLEP registration form to COT Library/Testing Center.
Bring an additional $60 test fee payable to CLEP (no cash),
a picture ID, and the CLEP Test Center Admission Form.
Test Fee Refund
If you cancel the test and request a refund, you must do so
within 6 months of your test date. You must present the original
cashier's receipt and your picture ID to the COT Test Administrator
to generate a refund. |
