COMPASS

• COMPASS® is a comprehensive, computer-adaptive testing system that helps place students into appropriate courses and maximizes the information postsecondary schools need to ensure student success. It offers placement testing in mathematics, reading, and writing.

• Test scores are valid for up to three years.

• The test is offered at the College of Technology and the main campus of MSU Billings. Contact the Advising Office on either campus to schedule a test appointment. Special test accommodations are available upon request with proper documentation.

• Charges may be associated with the COMPASS® test if students are retaking or taking the exam for a different college -- please call the advising office for more information.
