Discover Zone

After School Program

Discover Zone is a community-based out of school time program that partners with schools to deliver non-school time, skill building activities to students. Activities may vary, but share core elements including tutoring, mentoring, sports/recreation, arts, education classes, community volunteer services, service learning projects and more.

Volunteer Opportunity

  • Programming takes place in multiple 5-week sessions throughout the school year

  • Activities take place Monday thru Thursday after school from 3-5

  • Discover Zone runs a summer program, and we are always looking for volunteers.

  • Volunteer time commitment is one to two days a week, 2-4 hours/week for 5 weeks

  • All activities take place at Lewis and Clark Middle School

  • Activities include: Character building, Yoga, Digital Video Technology, Time Management, Movie Club, Dance, Karaoke, Cooking, Self-Defense, Crochet/Needlework, and much more!!!

  • If you have free time and enjoy working with youth, then Discover Zone is for you!!!
