Into the Streets

big cities * small towns

We all live somewhere. But many of us don't pay attention to the needs and challenges of our own community. We're too busy taking care of our family, friends, jobs, lifestyles, and personal daily routines to really know and understand the heart of the streets around us. This course will challenge us by giving opportunities to learn more about various socio-economic issues that exist while exploring the ways we can begin to make a difference. There will be group discussions and times of going to the streets where you live to see for yourself issues of homelessness, education, poverty, elderly, healthcare, and the criminal justice system
