Community Gardens Project of the Housing Authority of Billings (HAB)
The HAB Community Gardens Project provides members of the low-income community with gardening opportunities, educational classes and resources,and community support.
We need volunteers continuously from April through November. One-time and regular volunteers are welcome. A group of MSU students helping at the gardens once a month for severl hours would be ideal, but individuals are certainly welcome.
Available Volunteer Opportunities:
Assisting with basic garden maintenance (planting, weeding, harvesting); assisting gardeners, from kids to the elderly; teaching short classes about plants, gardening, garden crafts, nutrition or cooking.
Application Instructions And Requirements:
Willingness to work with people of all ages; positive and hard-working attitude; experience with gardening a big plus, but not necessary.
