Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing Laboratory

Mission

As a self supporting facility, the mission of the CATI Lab is to support social science research at Montana State University Billings and to respond to the policy needs of public agencies and others in the state of Montana and surrounding region.

The survey research capability of the CATI Lab enables faculty to compete for grants and contracts that they could not otherwise obtain. Students receive classroom instruction in state of the art survey methods and computer applications in research activities. The CATI Lab provides service to the state and region by working with agencies, government entities and others needing information that can be gathered by surveying the public.
