Teaching Minor in Speech Communication

For students who are gaining teaching certification in a content major, the following minor leads to endorsement. All students desiring certification to teach are required to file an Application for Admission to the Teacher Education Program (see page 236).

Students must earn a grade of “C” or above in courses used to satisfy major or minor requirements in the Communication and Theatre Department. Certain courses in this program have prerequisites; students should check the course descriptions for required prerequisites.*
