The Art Student League (ASL)
The Art Students League (ASL) is a great organization to join for any student interested in art. Membership into the organization is open to all students at MSUB regardless of his/her major; however, it is especially important that all art majors at MSUB become ASL members because there are many benefits.
-
All ASL members save an automatic 10% on all art supplies at the MSUB Book Depot and Macintosh Art Company.
-
Each spring and fall semester ASL brings in professional visiting artists to give instructional workshops about making art. ASL members can participate in these invaluable workshops for free.
-
ASL provides opportunities for art students to exhibit and sell their artwork. Every year ASL holds a fund-raising art auction which gives students a chance to sell and display their artwork.
Membership Dues: $7 per semester. Available at the Art Department, first floor, LA building, or at the ASL meetings.
ASL Meetings: Weekly, every Friday, 12:50 PM in Room 132, McMullen building. The first meeting of every month we hold a drawing to give away prizes. Past prizes include art books, gift certificates to various art supply stores around Billings, or memberships to the Yellowstone Art Museum.
