Luke Kestner has been a professional musician and educator for 10 years.   He completed his Bachelor of Music in 2005 from MSUBillings and received his Masters of Music from UNLV in 2007.  After graduating, Luke moved back to Billings to take the Principal Percussion position with the Billings Symphony Orchestra and to teach percussion courses at MSUBillings.  He has played with numerous ensembles   including the Las Vegas Philharmonic, Henderson Civic Symphony, Rimrock Opera, Billings Studio Theatre, and Venture Theatre.  Luke was a national finalist in the collegiate division of the 2005 MTNA competition, received outstanding soloist awards for festivals in Los Angeles and New Orleans, and was recently a featured soloist with the Billings Symphony in 2009.
