Undergrad:
1 credit = 45 hours

Grad REHA:
1 credit = 50 hours

Verify your
eligibility:

Currently enrolled student seeking a degree or certificate
-
Have earned at least 24 credits at MSU-Billings
-
Hold at least 2.0 cumulative GPA
-
College of Business students must have 3.0 cumulative GPA

Getting
Started:
-
Set up an
initial appointment with Mandy, Co-Op Ed
Specialist.

If you are
not already registered with CareerLink, go to
www.myinterfase.com/msubillings/student/
-
If you have registered in CareerLink, please edit
your profile to make sure the “Miscellaneous Information”
section is complete.
-
Upload your
résumé in CareerLink (to be critiqued by Career
Services staff and then corrected by you).
-
For your
initial appointment, bring in a list of internships you are
interested in pursuing from web site* or your own list of
possible sites.

Contact
potential employers to set up interviews.
Getting
Registered:
-
Contact your faculty supervisor for specific academic
requirements. He/she will act as a mentor/supervisor throughout
the Co-Op experience.

Attach a copy of your learning objectives (4-5 goals and how
you plan to achieve them). Learning objectives must be
approved by the faculty supervisor. See the relevant Co-Op Ed forms for specific
guidelines.

If you
developed your own internship, you must include your job
description. Faculty
supervisor must approve the position description.

Complete
the Learning Agreement, with signatures of employer, faculty,
department chair, and Co-Op Ed. All areas must be
completed!
Important
Notes:
-
Internships are restricted-entry courses. Students may
only be registered for an internship once all required paperwork
is complete and turned in to Co-Op Ed before the last day to
add, according to campus calendar.

The last day to register for your internship is the “Last Day
for Registering/Adding Classes.”
-
Documentation of hours of participation, midterm/final
evaluations, and any additional course assignments must be
completed and submitted to your faculty supervisor. Meeting the due dates is your responsibility.
Students will be registered for an
internship only after all of the required paperwork is completed
and submitted to Co-Op Ed. |
