Finding an Internship
Schedule an appointment with our Co-Op Ed Specialist.
Create a profile on CareerLink and upload your résumé (to be reviewed by Career Services staff and then corrected by you).
For your initial appointment, bring a list of internships you are interested in pursuing from CareerLink or your own list of possible sites.
After your appointment, contact potential employers to set up interviews. Just like any job, you are responsible for pursuing Co-Op Ed Internship leads and for securing your Co-Op Ed Internship.
To be eligible for an internship, you must have earned 24 credits and be enrolled at MSU Billings. A 2.0 minimum GPA is required; College of Business students must have a 3.0 GPA to be eligible for an internship. For each academic credit, undergraduate interns must work 45 hours. A 3-credit, semester-long internship requires about 10 hours each work. (Health Administration and graduate students have different requirements; contact your department with questions.) If you have questions about specific academic requirements, contact your faculty supervisor. He/she will act as a mentor throughout the Co-Op experience.
