Master of Health Administration

Curriculum Goals

MHA curricular goals are based on industry competency models and accreditation criteria standards:

  • Political, social, and economic factors that affect health organizations and policy

  • Managerial, economic, legal and ethical analysis of health management decisions

  • Organization management, theory and behavior as applied to health care organizations

  • Financial management of health care organizations

  • Quantitative methods for business and health, including epidemiology, quality and outcomes assessment, medical information and information systems

  • Program and policy formulation, implementation and evaluation

  • Assess community and population health status

  • Managing continuous quality

  • Written and oral communication for evidence based practice
