Yellowjacket Baseball Adds Another
BILLINGS, Mont. – Montana State Billings head baseball coach Rob Bishop announced the addition of Billings native Blake Loran for the 2010-11 season.
“Blake is a great student and a solid baseball player,” Bishop said. “I expect him to make an impact in the program immediately and be a guy that contributes in the long term as well. We are excited to have another quality Billings player in the program."
Loran prepped at Skyview High School and played legion ball for the Billings Royals where he played first base and catcher. He hit .426 with 98 hits, 25 doubles, two triples, four home runs and 88 RBI as a senior. He had a .654 slugging percentage and reached base .517 percent of the time. Loran earned all-conference honors in 2009.
While at Skyview, Loran was named to the honor roll, graduated with honors and earned an Academic Letter.
He spent last year at Jamestown College where he redshirted.
