Yellowjacket Baseball Adds Michael “Tucker” Young for 2010-11
BILLINGS, Mont. – Montana State Billings head baseball coach Rob Bishop announced the addition of Michael “Tucker” Young for the 2010-11 season.
“Tucker is a good young player that will develop well in our program at MSUB,” Bishop said. “He comes from a strong Gillette program that has produced many good college players. I am looking forward to working with Tucker during the next four years."
Young, a native of Gillette, WY, attended Campbell County High School where he lettered all four years in baseball and wrestling. He helped lead his team to the state championships in baseball in 2008 and a state runner-up finish in 2009.
As a senior, he hit .341 with 18 singles, five doubles, six triples and two home runs to go along with 20 RBI. He had an impressive .400 on-base percentage and slugged .540.
“I chose MSUB because I felt it would be my best fit,” Young said. “I liked the campus and really liked the baseball program. It fit all the requirements I was looking for in a college. I am very excited to come play baseball.”
