Foreman Named Second Team Daktronics All-Region
BILLINGS, Mont. – Montana State Billings women’s soccer junior, Kari Foreman, has been named to the Daktronics Second Team All-West Region, announced Tuesday. She becomes just the third Yellowjacket to be named to a Daktronics All-Region team.
The Lakewood, Colo., midfielder was second on the team in scoring with 21 points on nine goals and three assists. She led the team with four game winners and was one of eight Yellowjackets to play and start all 20 games. Foreman was third on the team in minutes played, logging 1794 minutes this season.
She earned honorable mention Great Northwest Athletic Conference honors this season and was named GNAC Player of the Week as well. Foreman finished fourth in the league in points and points per game (1.05). She also was fourth in goals and second in game-winning goals.
Foreman is joined by five other players from the GNAC on the second team, including goalkeeper Maddie Dickinson of Seattle Pacific, midfielder Kelly Irving of Western Washington, forward Jill Webb of Saint Martin’s and defenders Bryn Regan and Alicia Patten of WWU.
The GNAC had a total of nine players named to the 26-member squad. Liz Franco of Cal State – Los Angeles was named Player of the Year.
Foreman joins former Yellowjackets Ally Stroup (first team, 2006) and Abby Bennett (second team, 2007) as selections to the Daktronics All-Region team at MSUB.
