Women’s Soccer Moves Up in NCAA Division II West Region Poll
BILLINGS, Mont. – The Montana State Billings women’s soccer team moved up one spot to ninth in the latest NCAA Division II West Region Soccer poll released Wednesday. Great Northwest Athletic Conference rival, Seattle Pacific, is the top-ranked team in the region for the second straight week.
The Falcons have an 11-1 record on the year, UC San Diego moves up to second in the poll with an 11-2 record, jumping ahead of Cal State-Los Angeles with an 11-2-2 mark and is third this week. GNAC member, Western Washington, is eighth in the poll with a 5-4-2 record, followed by MSUB with a 6-4-1 in-region record and a 7-4-1 overall mark. MSUB was 10th in the initial poll released last week.
The Yellowjackets play at Rocky Mountain College Wednesday in a makeup game from Sunday. The Yellowjackets and the Battlin’ Bears originally were scheduled to play the Eighth Annual Rimrock Cup last Sunday at 12 p.m., but due to extreme cold temperatures and snow, the game was postponed to Wednesday.
MSUB then returns to Yellowjacket Field Friday for a match versus Carroll College at 4 p.m.
