Yellowjacket Futbol Frenzy Sponsored by Wendy’s Set for Saturday

BILLINGS, Mont. – The 2009 edition of the Montana State Billings Futbol Frenzy is set for Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at Yellowjacket Field located at the corner of Shiloh and Central in Billings.  The event is sponsored by Wendy’s. 

The festivities get underway at 12:30 p.m. with a FREE BBQ for MSUB students prior to the women’s soccer game versus Central Washington at 1 p.m.  The BBQ is $8 for non students.  Following the women’s game, the MSUB men’s soccer team will play Northwest Nazarene at 3:30 p.m.

Tickets are $5 for the general public, $3 for fans over the age of 65.  Students in grades 7-12 also are $3 and so are MSUB faculty and staff.  MSUB students are free with a valid student ID, as well as children in grades six and lower. 

Both the men’s and women’s soccer teams are ranked in the NSCAA/adidas West Region Poll for the first time in school history.  The men’s team is leading the Great Northwest Athletic Conference with a 2-0-1 record and a 7-2-1 record overall.  The women’s team is 6-3-1 on the year and 3-1 in conference play.
