BILLINGS, Mont. – For the first time since the end of the 2006 season, the Montana State Billings women’s soccer team is ranked in the NSCAA/adidas West Region Poll, which was announced Tuesday. The Yellowjackets enter the poll ninth and have a 6-3-1 record overall and a 3-1 record in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
The Yellowjackets are one of three GNAC schools in this week’s rankings. Seattle Pacific is the top ranked team in the region with a 9-0 record and the Falcons are No. 1 nationally according to the NSCAA. Western Washington is seventh this week with a 3-2-2 record.

This season, the Yellowjackets have spent a majority of the season on the road and have been quite successful. MSUB just finished up a six-game road trip, going 4-1-1 and are 5-2-1 away from home this season, playing eight of its first 10 away from Billings. The five road/neutral victories are the most for MSUB since 2006.

It also is Futbol Frenzy Day at Yellowjacket Field as there will be a BBQ at 12:30 p.m., prior to the women’s game. The men’s game versus Northwest Nazarene is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. The BBQ is free to MSUB students with a U-Card.
