Keri Clump Signs to Run at MSUB

BILLINGS, Mont. – Montana State Billings cross country and track and field head coach, Dave Coppock, has announced the signing of Keri Clump. Clump is slated to begin running for the Yellowjacket cross country and track and field teams during the 2010-11 school year.

“Keri is a versatile athlete who can run a wide range of events,” said Coppock. “She can run anything from the 400 meters in track to the 5,000 meters in cross country. She'll be a great asset to our team and I'm looking forward to working with her.”

Clump, a native of Wasilla, Alaska, was a four year letterwinner in track and a two year letterwinner in cross country at Wasilla High School.

During her senior year, Clump set a personal best in the 5,000 meters for cross country with a time of 20:47. She helped guide her team to a third place finish in the regional meet in 2009.

During the 2010 outdoor track season she has ran top times of 1:04.42 in the 400 meter, 2:30.22 in the 800 meter and still has regional and state meets to compete in.

Clump’s time in the 400 meter run this season is her personal best in the event, and set a personal best in the 800 meter run during her sophomore year with a time of 2:25.10. Last Season Clump helped her 4x400 and 4x800 meter relay teams to third place finishes at the state track meet.
