Tennis Gets Two on RMAC All-Academic Team
DENVER – A pair of Montana State Billings tennis players earned Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All- Academic honors for the 2010 season the conference office announced Wednesday. Sophomore’s Travis Lehman and Ana Juarez both earned the honor for their work in the classroom and on the tennis court.
Lehman was one of six players to earn first team honors as the conference chose first and second teams. A Billings native, Lehman had a 3.46 cumulative GPA as a Biology major at MSUB.
A Villahermosa, Tobasco, Mexico native, Juarez earned second team honors. She carried a 3.32 GPA in Business Administration at MSUB.
In order to be considered for the honor, student-athletes must carry a 3.30 grade point average, be a starter or reserve, and they must have completed two consecutive semesters or three quarters at their institution. The GPA is what the student-athlete had earned prior to the beginning of the tennis season.
