Yellowjackets Ninth in Latest NSCAA/adidas West Region Poll

BILLINGS, Mont. – The Montana State Billings men’s soccer team is ninth in the latest NSCAA/adidas West Region poll.  The Yellowjackets are one of three teams from the Great Northwest Athletic Conference to be ranked this week.

MSUB enters the week with a 3-1 record after splitting two West region games this past week in California. The Yellowjackets dropped a 2-1 overtime heartbreaker at then-No. 6 Cal State-Los Angeles and rebounded with a 2-0 shutout of previously unbeaten and regionally ranked Cal Poly Pomona.

Cal State-LA is still at the top of the rankings, followed by Sonoma State, Grand Canyon, GNAC foe Seattle Pacific and UC San Diego round out the top five.  Cal State Dominguez is sixth, followed by Chico State, Cal State San Bernardino, MSUB is ninth, followed by GNAC member, Western Washington, and California Collegiate Athletic Association member, San Francisco State, are tied for 10th. 

MSUB begins a four game home stand Thursday at 5 p.m., versus Colorado State-Pueblo at Yellowjacket Field.  This season ALL MSUB home men’s and women’s soccer games will be FREE on the internet with live video and audio as the voice of the Yellowjackets, Ken Adelblue, will have the call.
