Yellowjacket Men’s Soccer Signs Local Talent
BILLINGS, Mont. – Montana State Billings head men’s soccer coach, Dan McNally, announced the signing of Justin Enger for the 2010 season. He is the first signee for the men’s program this season.
“My recruiting priority every year is to sign the best high school seniors in Montana,” McNally said. “I believe Justin is the best high school senior in Montana this year. He has the potential to be an excellent player for us over the next four year. As always with the best players, we faced out of state competition for his signature and I am very happy Justin decided to play at MSUB. I don’t think we would have had the chance to sign him four years ago, but it shows how far we have come in a short period of time.”
Enger, a Billings native, prepped at West High School where he was an academic all-state selection for three years. He lettered all four years for the Bears helping the team to two state championships in 2009 and 2008 and a third place finish in 2007, along with a fourth place finish in 2006.
As a senior playing center midfield, he scored seven goals and tallied seven assists helping West High to a 14-0-1 record and the state championship. He was an all-state selection for three years and team captain for his junior and senior years.
For his career, Enger tallied 16 goals and 11 assists for 43 points. During his career, he helped lead West to a 54-6-4 record. In addition to playing at West High School, he also played club soccer for the Magic City Club team which he helped win six state championships. He also was a part of the Olympic Development Program in 2007.
“MSUB has a great soccer program which plays some of the top schools in Division II soccer,” Enger said. “Coach McNally and coach Spinelli made MSUB sound like the perfect fit.”
