Jackson Named Co-GNAC Player of the Week
BILLINGS, Mont. – Montana State Billings senior guard, DaVell Jackson, was named Great Northwest  Athletic Conference Co-Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday. It is Jackson’s first weekly honor and the first for the Yellowjackets this season.
Jackson joins Alaska Fairbanks senior guard, Emmanuel Jenkins, as the conference’s best for the week. Jackson, a native of Las Vegas, Nev., scored 46 points including 34 in a 92-85 victory at Central Washington last Thursday. He went 17 of 27 shots for the week, knocked down both of his 3-point attempts, tallied nine rebounds, nine assists and four steals for the week.
The victory at Central Washington was the first for the Yellowjackets in school history as they had been 0-3 previously.
Jackson finished the season second on the team in scoring at 13.3 points per game, second in field goals made (109) and led the team with 93 made free throws. He averaged 4.4 rebounds per game and led the team with 142 assists to just 70 turnovers and led in steals with 55.
He ranked 14th in the league in scoring at 13.3 points, second in assists (5.9), third in steals (2.3) and third in assist to turnover ratio at a 2.0 average. His 142 assists were good for third-most in the league.
