Yellowjacket Men’s Golf Signs Two State Champions
BILLINGS, Mont. – Montana State Billings men’s golf coach, Shawn O’Brien, announced the signing of Timothy “Mac” Keating and Ryan Graham Thursday.
Keating, a native of Billings, Mon., and West High School, helped lead his team to a state championship in 2009. It was the fourth team state championship Keating has helped his team win. Individually, Keating finished fourth at state in 2009 and had a stroke average of 77. He earned the Coaches’ Award and all-state honors.
“Mac is one of the nicest young men I have met,” O’Brien said. “He had a great high school season winning a team state championship, along with placing fourth individually. We are excited to have signed him and he will have a great opportunity to contribute to our team next year.”
Graham hails from Buffalo, Wyo., where he lettered in golf all four years and won an individual state championship in 2009. He had a 73.8 stroke average, earning all-conference and all-state honors. He earned three all-conference awards and was a three-time all-state selection.
“We are very excited to announce Ryan as part of our program,” O’Brien said. “He is a very talented individual who excels on and off the golf course. Ryan had a great high school season winning an individual state championship. He will have a great opportunity to come in right away and contribute as we have four seniors graduating this year.”
The Yellowjacket men’s golf team opens the spring season at the Dominican University Invitational, Mar. 13-15, in Rohnert Park, CA.
