Three Yellowjackets Named to RMAC Academic All-Conference Team
DENVER – Three Montana State Billings women’s golfers have been named to the 2010 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Academic team, the conference office announced Monday. Senior Amy Nordeen was a unanimous first team selection and sophomore Kalli Stanhope also was named to the first team, while sophomore Libby Rutz was a second team selection.
Carissa Schwalm of Western New Mexico also was a unanimous first team selection and Player of the Year. Jessica Berve of Mesa State was the third unanimous selection, while Nicole Erwin of Nebraska-Kearney rounded out the first team.
The second team featured two players from Adams State in Caty Mark and Kaylee Moore, and two from Chadron State as Allison Rowden and Alissa Peterson were selected. Emily Einfeldt and Rutz rounded out the team.
Nordeen, a native of Hamilton, Mont., graduated last weekend with a 3.65 GPA in communications. Stanhope, a Glendive, Mont., native, finished her sophomore year with a 3.53 GPA in psychology, while Rutz, originally from Billings, carried a 3.53 grade point average in nursing through two years at MSUB.
