Members of the Golf Team Listen to Coach Herman Boone Speak

BILLINGS, Mont. - Members of the Montana State Billings men's and women's golf team went and listened to legendary head football coach Herman Boone speak at Petro Hall Thursday evening.

Boone was the football coach in Alexandria, Va., in 1971 in which the Walt Disney movie Remeber the Titans was based. Boone led his team to the state championship that year during the height of segregation. Boone now travels around the country motivating young people on how he got his team to look past racial boundries and brought them together as a football team.

The students had the opportunity to watch the movie Remember the Titans and then listen to Boone speak, followed by the chance to ask the coach questions.

The event was a part of Dr. Martin Luther King Week.
