Yellowjackets Fall at No. 4 Seattle Pacific, 3-0

SEATTLE- Two first half goals proved to be enough as No. 4 Seattle Pacific downed visiting Montana State Billings in the Yellowjackets’ regular season finale Saturday evening.  With the loss, the Yellowjackets finish the regular season 10-10 and 5-7 in conference play.  SPU improves to 17-1-2 and 10-1-1 in conference play.

The Falcons got on the board quickly as Janae Godoy scored the game winner in the seventh minute as she received a free kick flicked from the left post off assists from Becca Woods and Jocelyn Charette.

In the 31st minute, SPU added another score from 16 yards out with a through ball Kayla Stiegemeier from Katie Taylor for a 2-0 lead.

Stiegemeier added another goal in the 71st minute from 10-yards out off the right side for a 3-0 lead.

The Yellowjackets had three shots on the day as Mandy Ploskonka, Carly Valentine and Samantha Sandau each had shots.  Stiegemeier led the way with two goals and four shots for the Falcons.
